Distance to the airport nearby Kokkola is about 100 km. The lake and its river offer salmon, whitefish, perch, pike and vendace. The lake is good for surfing and boating. Other smaller lakes in the area are available for fishing too. Forests offer good possibilities for hiking. Hunting birds or elks and picking berries is also available.
